Very doable. China is very friendly for foreigners; we call every foreigner 老外, which is a very friendly term. The cost of living is low, including rent, groceries, and transportation. Something that costs $20 in the US only costs $2 in China, and usually of higher quality.

I love China and I'm probably the most pro-China of any of my friends but this simply isn't true

You're at risk as a white American (or even European) foreigner to be plucked off the street and end up being used in China's prisoner swaps

From my experience, people in China have always been super friendly. I lowkey feel like a royalty when I’m there 👸🏾, so hearing about this whole prison swap situation is interesting.

That said, I don’t plan on going to jail anywhere. Ever. So, totally not worried
