Itâs not deleted, I said devs are building mini apps like theyâre for the masses, when they should be using $DEGEN and building for Farcaster. Iâm happy to promote and fund devs, but theyâre stuck on USDC. If youâre not defaulting to $DEGEN, itâs odd, my doorâs always open.

I donât think itâs odd at all. The most attractive thing about $degen was that it was free to distribute and as a result everyone had some. I donât think this is true anymore - or at least less true than with USDC

It's also a brand thing. USDC is neutral money and a safe bet as the defacto Base stablecoin. Degen, for better or worse, is inseparable from its brand and would immediately associate a mini-apps brand with theirs if used for payments.

Totally get that, neutral money probably makes sense if youâre targeting a mass audience, but letâs be real: Farcaster isnât that right now. Why canât we just band together and support each other directly? We fund devs, they build on DEGEN, DEGEN grows, Farcaster grows, Mini Apps grow. That kind of flywheel doesnât exist with USDC, it just exits the system. With DEGEN, the value loops back in. Feels like weâre missing a huge opportunity if we ignore that.
