Nah, it’s not replacing the Farcaster app—think Firefox vs Chrome or Thunderbird vs Outlook. Just a different feel. The $DEGEN app’s made by and for DEGENs, so it’ll evolve with the community and include features we actually want. If you’re in the DEGEN world, it might just fit you better.

You raised money and clearly didn’t think this through. At your peak, you should have solidified the vision because now Degen is forever associated with tipping. And unless that core feature is brought back in a simple, no friction way, I don’t see much value in Degen going forward. This latest pivot feels like just another experiment that’s bound to flop, like L3. Trying to become the next Twitter, Facebook, or some SocialFi platform no one asked for is, frankly, unnecessary. Can’t you read the room? People aren’t begging for yet another app. Even Farcaster is still trying to find its footing so why would anyone jump on a Degen app? What I can say is Degen opened the door for InfoFi projects like Kaito and Cookie are building off that foundation. But the original Degen spark? It’s gone.
