Quick Degen app update 👇 After many conversations with you, two things keep coming up: phone verification and rewards. I agree — we need a rewards system that feels fair and actually helps grow the app. This could mean rewarding you for bringing in others, variations of tip allowances, or even view-based rewards. We are still exploring what makes the most sense. Phone verification has to stay — it’s the only real way to keep rewards meaningful and avoid farming. The vault is too confusing, but simpler systems with clear limits could work better. I know you want to reward people you like and earn too — and we can get there. Big thanks to @yekim.eth for grinding through this idea maze with me. Appreciate all of you—keep the feedback coming 🙏

Also — rewards doesn’t mean an airdrop. That’s not happening. It’s about finding smart ways to incentivize real actions that help grow the app and build a strong community. The goal is to reward what actually adds value. Balance is key.

Not having an airdrop, even though it may come across as not a good tactic, may give you an idea as to who will be around to grow the community. Do you have any ideas about incentives that may differ from monetary? Maybe connections would be the easiest in this sense.

Get rid of the leaderboard, instead put everyone in a large pool who’s made at least a certain amount of posts, replies, whatever, then randomly select from that pool on a daily/weekly basis to reward. Prevents gaming of the system and repeatedly rewarding the same ppl endlessly. Takes away the gaming motivation but could replace with actual community motivation knowing everyone’s got an equal chance who’s trying to keep the project going vs just those good at hype and community. Just an idea.

This sound a lot like @superfluid's streaming rewards system, which has been described as an anti-airdrop. Rather than drop tokens retroactively, specific actions, each with different weights, contribute to the user's share of a real-time stream of rewards. Actions and weights can be fine-tuned to better align incentives. /streme is part of Season 2 of $SUP rewards, and we have developed a system to reward users for actions that bring the most value. Getting the balance right is a work-in-progress, and always will be.

One possibility would be to partner with @noiceapp -perhaps limiting the ability to tip and receive tips (of any token) based on degen held?
