saw a bill maher clip yesterday where he went after #MeToo and basically said that the only time women should speak about sexual violence is right after it happens and to the police

i guess it doesn't really surprise me that 'centrist democrats' are there but it's really kind of sickening

yeah bc it's soooo much better to save the few men that get falsely accused a year than empower the millions of women who ACTUALLY get assaulted

literally i just can't anymore with this

men construct scarecrows of false accusations around every corner and deny established psychological principles because it helps keep women silent and ostracize those who do come forward 

exactly why ppl should be reticent around network states, they are filled with those men

Lol then when you go to the police right after it happens they don’t believe you or downplay it. if you have the resources go to court you get to watch your attacker call you a liar as you relive your trauma because it’s a crime that usually, by nature, has no witnesses.
