But it cannot start top-down. It’s very clear which metas are fun and emergent vs. which ones feel forced / cheugy

leadership is top-down; innovation is bottom-up

we get this right, we win

put another way, trenches should trench, while leaders drive narrative

so leaders rally behind breakout winners, highlighting good teams, strong tokenomics, and unique value props---rallying behind trench warfare is a losing strategy

The big fumble so far has been failing to amplify good narratives and putting weight behind subpar ones 

This is sadly why Proxy grew the ecosystem well — he knew how to yap and more importantly *what* to yap about

but also i would say biggest lessons on this from this side of the pond have been proxy & zora
