If my cat were not in Russia but with me, she would definitely insist that I keep actively working on my project about repression. But instead, I keep doing nothing, even though I have so many ideas and drafts. I don’t know what to do about it. How do you motivate yourself to take action?

Resting is the hardest part :( Don’t you get anxious when important things aren’t getting done? It turns out I’m not working on the project, but I’m not really resting either, because I’m worrying.

Inwardly, I was beginning to feel that the time for action had come... I'd been thinking too long. I have to finish it while I'm in exile...who knows, maybe the political situation in Russia will change soon

Sometimes we need the time to do “nothing” to allow the dust to settle and see our priorities clearly. 

“Don’t just do something, stand there.” Is a clever variation of the oft used phrase to spur people into action. But there are times when reflection is needed.
