This photo is very old. I titled it Loss of Roots. It was a prophecy, and I truly lost my roots because of my emigration, but this phantom pain will never let me go. I will hold my roots without soil until my plant returns to its native land, where I can root again and come alive.

When I was in school, in winter, sometimes the heating in our school would be turned off, and we would sit at our desks in down winter jackets, hats, and gloves, continuing to study in -20°C cold. Unforgettable 😄. Photo by my love @angelikakollin
