Quick Degen app update 👇 After many conversations with you, two things keep coming up: phone verification and rewards. I agree — we need a rewards system that feels fair and actually helps grow the app. This could mean rewarding you for bringing in others, variations of tip allowances, or even view-based rewards. We are still exploring what makes the most sense. Phone verification has to stay — it’s the only real way to keep rewards meaningful and avoid farming. The vault is too confusing, but simpler systems with clear limits could work better. I know you want to reward people you like and earn too — and we can get there. Big thanks to @yekim.eth for grinding through this idea maze with me. Appreciate all of you—keep the feedback coming 🙏

Also — rewards doesn’t mean an airdrop. That’s not happening. It’s about finding smart ways to incentivize real actions that help grow the app and build a strong community. The goal is to reward what actually adds value. Balance is key.

Not having an airdrop, even though it may come across as not a good tactic, may give you an idea as to who will be around to grow the community. Do you have any ideas about incentives that may differ from monetary? Maybe connections would be the easiest in this sense.

Yeah for sure — non-monetary incentives are usually status-based, and those can be really strong. Roles, badges, shoutouts, early access… all that stuff works.

I wonder though if it adds an element of difficulty for people starting out. Maybe working your way up the ladder would be what makes it worthwhile.
