Anyone read this? Just picked up a copy to see if I can improve myself a bit. Unmedicated ADHD - along with some other mental/physical issues from military life - leave me pretty unorganized and often procrastinating. I know just reading a book won’t solve it all and I’ll still have to take a lot of action, but it’s a start. Surprise visit from the kitten too! 😂

I have it in Chinese lol non-fiction tends to be more accessible language, so I grabbed it when I found out it was available when I was ready to start tackling books in the language. There's a lot of great stuff in there, but keep in mind the ADHD brain doesn't really form "habits" in the way the neurotypical brain does - it will always be a conscious choice to keep the habit chain going for your brain. Which is why small works really, really well for us.

Thanks for sharing Gwynne! You can read Chinese? Can you speak it as well? I was just saying that to @imfairydust, I KNOW everything I'm supposed to do to function properly, I just can't freaking do it. That's why I hate when people speak in such absolutes like "I can do it, so can you, just do it!" Sure, I wish I could "just do it" lol, our brains aren't the same man! That's like telling a bipolar person to not be manic! I'm excited at least to give it a read and see if it can help start kickstart me with some smaller habits/goals.

We are definitely wired differently. I have tried to learn to embrace it. My husband says it will kill me early because my brain never stops. Cannabis helps A LOT. Someone who says you can do it, just do it obviously can't understand it's not a choice.

Exactly! I used to LOVE cannabis, but the myriad of other issues I have include anxiety and panic disorder which THC now triggers, whereas when I was young it used to relax me. Quite frustrating and curious how it can relax some brains, and make others feel like they're OD'ing on uppers lol. That said, some 50/50 THC/CBD indica strains that just give a little buzz with that sativa feel I can handle. I'm trying to get set up with having it covered due to my issues being service related, so I'll take some free cannabis!
