I think the ones of Zeit für Brot are good. But it’s been a long while that I have eaten them.

Thank you for the empfehlung. Will grab some of that next time see one. The most amazing bread have had here in Berlin found at a small stall at the Maybachufer market. Not sure if they are there both days a week. It's at the corner of Schickestrs. and Hobrechtstrs. Kind of pricey but totally worth it. An infrequent indulgence. Have one stored in the freezer.

very nice, i'll check that out when i'm in the city again (not sure when that will be yet)! Berlin has a few old school bakeries that make everything by hand and by tradition still, e.g. Bäckerei Kroll in Kuglerstraße, or Bäckerei Siebert at Schönfließer Str. come to my mind

It's rare. A lot of these places serve industrialised goods. Traditionally Germany bakeries are supposed to have a good reputation. Maybe it's just my own preferences.

yes real good bread is amazing. Bäcker is an awesome profession, it's dying for several reasons, one of which is that industrialized goods sold at the supermarket are so cheap and many people unfortunately don't really care anymore. but those who care, really care. baking by hand and by tradition is undefeated in terms of product quality.

Yep. Many have an industrialized way of producing. I cannot eat much gluten. So sometimes I buy bread at AERA. Everything is 100% gluten free. They make tasty toasts as well. And the bread tastes just like regular bread. 🥖
