Reconciliation bill update: One member of the House who was previous a 'no' has flipped to a 'yes' (Rep. Warren Davidson of Ohio).

House leaders don't want to send the bill back to the Senate and are instead promising holdouts that their concerns will be fixed by executive order or through another reconciliation bill later this year. Seems are they trying to get to a vote at some point tonight.

Republicans have now set a new record for the longest vote in the House history after leaving a tally open for more than nine hours as negotiations with holdouts go on.

Here’s who they are:

Rep. Andrew Clyde, a Georgia Republican who is unhappy that the Senate parliamentarian removed a measure from the bill that would have eliminated a registration requirement and fee for firearms silencers.
Rep. Victoria Spartz, a fiscal conservative from Indiana who has indicated that while she will oppose this procedural vote, she will ultimately vote for the bill itself.
Rep. Keith Self, a Texas Republican who is part of the Freedom Caucus and has indicated he supports the framework passed by the House in June.
Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, a centrist from Pennsylvania who opposed the appeal of the Affordable Care Act.

Seems that Rep. Ralph Norman has now been flipped as well.

There are at least 4 members that are opposing the final procedural rule that would move the bill to the floor for debate and a final vote.

There are currently nine Republicans who have yet to vote on the measure a signal that they, too, are willing to defy leadership as they seek changes to the bill.

There's now 5 "no" votes tallied and 8 members have not voted. This procedural motion doesn't seem to be going anywhere tonight.

i'm talking about all of it, there's lots of other stuff in the bill that's crazy, like the exemptions for estates less than $30 million and the miniscule tax breaks for normal americans by comparison or increasing the amount logged on public lands by 20 million board-feet every year consecutively from 2026-2034 or the $45 billion going to border patrol and detention facilities. this is a fucking INSANE bill.

I mean, this is the last year for the Trump tax cuts from his first term unless this bill goes through making them permanent for the time being. I'm not sure when the SNAP and Medicaid cuts come into play. Those are the main 3 parts of the bill. Not sure what other areas you are wondering about.

when are all these provisions, tax cuts, breaks and such going to start? npr today said they would be staggered out over years.... so this plays into mid-term strategry because republicunts are going to be in hot doodoo if dems magically rally or elon's party schisms trump's.
