Reconciliation bill update: One member of the House who was previous a 'no' has flipped to a 'yes' (Rep. Warren Davidson of Ohio).

House leaders don't want to send the bill back to the Senate and are instead promising holdouts that their concerns will be fixed by executive order or through another reconciliation bill later this year. Seems are they trying to get to a vote at some point tonight.

when are all these provisions, tax cuts, breaks and such going to start? npr today said they would be staggered out over years.... so this plays into mid-term strategry because republicunts are going to be in hot doodoo if dems magically rally or elon's party schisms trump's.

There's a lot of different in there for sure but all of it has its own timeline.

i'm talking about all of it, there's lots of other stuff in the bill that's crazy, like the exemptions for estates less than $30 million and the miniscule tax breaks for normal americans by comparison or increasing the amount logged on public lands by 20 million board-feet every year consecutively from 2026-2034 or the $45 billion going to border patrol and detention facilities. this is a fucking INSANE bill.

I mean, this is the last year for the Trump tax cuts from his first term unless this bill goes through making them permanent for the time being. I'm not sure when the SNAP and Medicaid cuts come into play. Those are the main 3 parts of the bill. Not sure what other areas you are wondering about.
