Well, as I am based at Lanzarote I had electricity but since my internet provider is centralized, i lost connection from 16:00 onwards.

Now let's see what happen and mid and long term impacts.. A beautiful and complex scenario

The Central Térmica de Punta Grande primarily uses gas turbines (37.5 MW capacity since 1988) --they are using this just for starting as far as I know- and  supplemented by 11 diesel generator groups for electricity production. Both systems rely on fossil fuels - natural gas for turbines and diesel fuel for reciprocating engines - as their energy source.

Unfortunately,  most of the power we produce is not green, even if the island is a SUN-WIND paradise (and sea, as of course its an island).
The power mafia burns petrol.
The good thing is that canary islands are like nodes (not exactly) but for instance Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are connected and share power station
