One tiny ray of hope i saw yesterday is Heritage Foundation lashed out at some AI provisions. There is a chance that this odd power alliance of dominionist theocratic Christians and Libertarian tech bros will eat itself in a politically classic move usually reserved for the Left.

There are always political repercussions. Ever read/watch Game of Thrones? Remember Queen Cersei's demonstration of power over Littlefinger? Fast forward to the Sparrows marching Cersei naked through the streets. There are always ripples in the water that cannot be predicted.

Well, maybe the 'good and bad guys' part is fiction, but power is dynamic, not static. And this power cluster is not built to last. Heck, one major goal for a huge base of that power is literally ending the world. They might succeed, or they might fail. Either way, repercussions.
