👉 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗜-𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 𝗡° 2️⃣7️⃣4️⃣ 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗜 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼: @rosaliesrainbow 1. WHAT IS YOUR DREAM? My name is Phil. I love being outside and exploring new places of natural beauty, particularly by trail running or hiking. My dream is to give my daughter the ability to access natural spaces that currently remain inaccessible due to being unable to walk. 2. SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU: I love working with and supporting people through whatever life is throwing at them. I'm a trained teacher but now work in pastoral support for international students at a university as part of a charity and the university's religious life and belief centre. 3. HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN FC AND WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO JOIN?? @nkemjika is a great friend and someone I met through my work and he generously wanted to give his time to support me and my daughter and set me up with joining FC. 4. TELL US ABOUT ROSALIE AND HOW WE CAN HELP HER? Rosalie is a typical little girl in many ways. She's smart. She's funny. She loves people. She loves animals and she loves music (especially the Wiggles). She loves exploring the world. She laughs a lot. She gets grumpy when she is hungry (like her dad). Rosalie has Rett Syndrome and this means life for her isn't like most other children. Rett Syndrome is a genetic neurological condition that effects brain development and means that Rosalie is reliant on help with all aspects of life. She understands much of what is said to her but can't communicate verbally. She is currently learning to use an eye gaze computer to help her learn to communicate but this is a very slow process. Physically, she is unable to walk or stand unaided and has limited use of her hands. Rosalie has a PEG feeding tube as she can't drink liquids safely. She has other health issues such as epilepsy (Continue👇)

Dear @rosaliesrainbow, What a heartwarming story, Phil. What you said was so moving — both because it was filled with a father’s love and because of the hope you kept alive in her despite the difficult challenges. Rosalie is truly lucky to have a father like you; someone who is not only concerned with caring for her, but also with opening new windows of life for her, even if those windows require special wheels. The idea of raising money for a nature cart is so beautiful, because beyond just “the means,” you are creating “experiences” for your daughter — the feel of the wind on her face, the sound of the birds, the play of light and shadow on her cheeks. These are the moments that make life meaningful.
