Majority Indian or non-indian? From the thread it seems non-indian. But also depends on how you define India.

doesn’t help that I shared only the early ones (who had much more Persian and Timurid Ancestry). The latter ones had ancestry from bloodlines that already existed much before Babur first conquered Delhi.

Definitely, mughals became gradually Indianized over the years and this was an intentional strategic decision formalized as early as Akbar. And I feel such decisions were also taken by mughal nobles and down the chain of command.

Integration became a focus for the Mughals after Akbar sacked Chittor Fort and massacred its Rajput Hindu residents (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Chittorgarh_(1567%E2%80%931568)) After this low point, Rajput + Mughal integration became a real thing (at all levels of society)
