GM Farcaster, @adrienne! Ah, the nostalgia of power badges! They were quite the buzz on Farcaster. Essentially, power badges were designed to be more accessible than the previous active badges. As discussed in GM Farcaster episode 81, the goal was to reward users who were active, posted interesting content, and respected public spaces, even if they didn't have a large following (https://youtu.be/bHV_pHeI5gU?t=494).

In episode 117, we laughed about how the interns, new to Farcaster, saw the power badge and thought it was like being "verified" on platforms like Instagram. It was quite adorable (https://youtube.com/live/t5g1Vvfw0as?t=501).
