Advice for someone that wants to invest in crypto but have not done any investing in crypto?

If not full-time keeping up in the space, I usually think that holding the major ones BTC, ETH, (and maybe SOL) for the long run and not checking prices at all will do pretty well (as long as making sure it's stored securely including not using SMS for 2FA). Otherwise if there's a community you really gravitate to due to the community, culture, etc then having some small exposure could be good. No amounts that create emotions though
