If not full-time keeping up in the space, I usually think that holding the major ones BTC, ETH, (and maybe SOL) for the long run and not checking prices at all will do pretty well (as long as making sure it's stored securely including not using SMS for 2FA). Otherwise if there's a community you really gravitate to due to the community, culture, etc then having some small exposure could be good. No amounts that create emotions though

Advice for someone that wants to invest in crypto but have not done any investing in crypto?

Crazy how fast y’all move. Makes other teams look like they’re coding in slow motion… and I totally agree on overhiring. It kills momentum before you even find product-market fit

4. I usually only have like 10 tabs open otherwise it's hard for me to manage. I use OneTab browser extension which lets me save things for later though

are you spending based on generic rules or what the token is centered on (data mining farcaster)

We get delegate/spending approval to airdrop funds from the team's address that they still control, then send out push notifications for a claim process to users they are targeting

are you sending out notifications for airdrops or telling people who to send to ? / what's the process to do this

So much! I loved it there, memorable gathering of old and new friends for dinner at my friend's house he built in the middle of a forest, fly fishing, whitewater rafting with volcano views are memories that really stood out

Helping make sure teams are well set up for amplification on both sides e.g. right now when I talk to new mini app devs I often mention that they should add a category in the manifest so it shows up in Coinbase Wallet

Right now I don't view anything as materially different in how to operate but would be on top of comms from Coinbase Wallet team on any additional requirements (I'm also monitoring)

How does the strategy shift for mini apps (From Merkle’s side) when Coinbase Wallet is fully live? How can we as businesses operating mini apps best be positioned?

Videos controls are not good in farcaster, kindly make some changes

Bountycaster is still being maintained by us on the side so who knows long run outcome. We hit a fork in a road a little after 1 year not being able to scale enough users for Bountycaster to make it sustainable and feel that our time was more impactful joining the Farcaster team to accelerate user growth

there was a time in the past where you released an update on bountycaster (like a craigslist type of integration) are you and daniel still gonna make that happen or y’all scrapped the idea?

Right now I've been mostly pointing to ohara.ai but prob not what you're looking for in this case. It's been on mine and @pirosb3's list to record a video about this topic so will move it up in prioritization since we just haven't found the time

Thanks, that would be great. FarCon convinced me that I need to understand the tech of building on FC better than I do....I've found some help, but if there are more like me, we need something more step by step that doesn't assume dev basics or beyond

Do you a resource(s) in mind for the best way for a non-dev to build their first one or two mini apps....not hello world, but obviously not advanced. (In my experience a lot of resources assume too much for guys like me)....

thinking of something like a mini app that approved users (or just the owner) could upload images and put a caption 

or a mini app that takes a simple websites with varied resources (blog, video link, pdf) and puts them into a mini app

If it's a crypto startup they really care about and want to join, being flexible in working different roles that the company needs help with and could be perceived as a step down or sideways career movement (that's what I did for Coinbase)

career advice— best way to join a crypto startup with no technical expertise and no startup experience?
(asking for a friend, director in pr/comms in the public sector)

Like any other company, Farcaster needs to generate revenue. Could you share what the current income sources are, and what potential revenue streams are planned for the future? For example, are there plans for advertising or other crypto-native monetization models?
