Does this make sense? Seems like a dozen companies could easily copy what they're doing.

Has Microsoft tried? It seems like it wouldn’t require much effort for them to build all of Cursor’s UX into vscode.

So devs are continuing to ditch vscode because cursor is adding new features faster? 

(fwiw I only tried it briefly a year ago but stuck with Claude +vscode)

Microsoft LITERALLY has VSCode and is copying everything cursor does and still losing tons of market share.

Everyone is trying lol. When a company goes from 0 to 500M ARR many many founders try to capture some of it.
