Big influencers sure but I’m thinking about the long tail. It weakens the cost vs benefit analysis for them when they know they’re getting deprioritized in favor of accounts paying for attention.

Tbf, the amount of money those influencers are earning can cover the cost easily.

Meta took another page out of the Enshittification textbook.

It’s sad to see it happening, especially for people who built their livelihoods on the platform, but surprising. And it’ll make the experience significantly worse for all users.
