I've worried for a while that if JD Vance took over from Trump, he'd be more devious and more dangerous overall... seemingly very competent while absolutely lying to everyone. 

Trump's skill, though, is destroying/replacing anyone not loyal enough and I imagine that'll work against JD at the same time that the broad GOP base absolutely bullies him with their often conflicting agenda.

I'm not even sure if Trump can control his own base anymore... and they'd surely implode if JD took over.

He really doesn't.  There's going to be an incredible power struggle like the world has never seen.

I agree.  I think after Trump, a lot of those people will go back to completely ignoring politics. 

I was honestly surprised with how many young men actually got up to vote for Trump in the last election, and I'm sure many of them will sit out future elections because they feel burned.

To many maga policies hitting wrong with independents and maga is just running victory laps

On this trajectory I dont see really anyone being able to rise above it, esspeically with how uncharasmatic like jd vance or pudding cup DeSantis are
