We run our numbers on regular basis, that's the best way to see what's best option. Most people never do this, unfortunately. And also don't know how to handle money and get into debt too easily.

Oh totally!  This video is really aimed at people who might be tossing up between renting or buying now.... it's not at all aimed at people who already purchased. 

Having recently moved internationally this video applies way more to me than most people on this app.

The main message of this video is 'run the numbers' which is honestly something I've never actually done before.

That's just a perspective of timing, you'd have a hard time convincing a family (that's an important point) who bought within their limits 5 years ago that renting would have been a better choice. But now, renting is more attractive because of the market risks. 

Nobody knows what will happen 5 years from now so the best course of action is to diversify and not over leverage. Get a small house if the life style demands, buy some broad market ETFs and sprinkle all that with some BTC.

Totally.  He does actually cover that in this particular video.  He's like... if you run the numbers and decide to buy a house for emotional reasons, that's totally great, even if you lose money its great as long as you know what you're getting into. 

I personally do think that owning property is actually way more expensive than people realize.

He’s great, but there are non-financial reasons to buy a house and he doesn’t discuss those much
