Yes, this is New Jersey. Yes, that’s legit sashimi. Scallop, sweet shrimp, mackerel, tuna, and more — garnished with shiso, and plated like they mean it. Some exciting Japanese-owned spots on the other side of the Hudson. Don't feel trapped in NYC (still great of course). Jersey’s got game too. 🐟🥢

Drooling over these pictures!! Where in NJ did you go? I’m a big fan of raw sweet shrimp over almost all other forms of shrimp except like large grilled prawns. Scallops it’s hard to say which I like more….! grilled in butter vs raw vs Egyptian seafood style grilled
