Pretty funny to me how doing swaps onchain has actually gotten more expensive over time.

Take aside gas fees and the cost to process the transaction on the network - every front-end and wallet now had an added swap fee too.

Just swapped 500 USDC to USDT to pay a vendor and had to pay a $5 fee to make the swap on Uniswap, Phantom, Relay anywhere really.

I'm sure there's an app to go 1:1 on stablecoins but takes time and would almost rather eat the $5 fee

Interesting to observe we're in a phase where businesses thrive off of convenience

Yeah never use the in wallet swap, instead of swapping direct on phantom, I open jumper in the browser and swap there

can the swap be done inconveniently 

meaning, say, can I invoke a smart contract myself outside of these interfaces
