I hear you and I agree to an extent 

but there's lots of things that will be commodified whether you like it or not so I think that taking a more active role in that commodification is a positive thing for creators/authors/etc

because not everything should be priced. when presence becomes performance and words become assets, something essential dies: grace, love, dignity, silence. i write to connect, not to be commodified
