what problem does "running nodes locally" solve

it's a fucking luxury belief

I think he's trying to maintain decentralization and access 

Makes the network more stable and resistant to larger actors and prevents small businesses and people from having to pay a few cloud providers for access to an RPC

Yeah they seem much more focused on making the chain censorship resistant and decentralized at the expense of making it more usable/scablabe

it's almost like ethereum sees people running validators and nodes as 'users' and solana thinks that people are transacting on the chain are the 'users'

the fundamental difference is who ethereum thinks their 'users' are (people running nodes, not the ones transacting)

because despite popular belief, i'm actually not a soylana manlet

but i do think they're doing the correct thing by prioritizing people that 'transact' as their primary users
and the 'ability to transact' as the northstar 

in ethereum land the users are fucks that somehow need to run nodes or validators on their fucking 2015 dell laptop and the northstar is whether they can do so under censorship pressure from winnie the pooh

the solution is to have that mindset change
otherwise v is smart enough to know what the actual roadmap to get there would be
