every week i create a new fid through warpcast to check how the onboarding flow changes through my own experience

guess what

no more 70 autofollow list

and that initial feed is now a cherry pick and seemingly unbiased selection of the best casts of the network

this is an important change. chapeau 🎩

Experimenting with a new onboarding feed that is algorithmic like TikTok. No initial follows.

But that means you need to be posting engaging content.

What about recommending channels to follow?  Channels feel completely missing from the onboarding flow but maybe that's by design

Interests are a category of channels? Like I enjoy football, so I might be interested in /football or maybe more specifically /barca or /coyg and maybe would like to bet on teams using /bracket or specific event channels such as /euros

Shouldn't interests and channels become more aligned over time? 

Would love to understand more about what interests map to what channels in your view and the Merkle teams view

Users select interests which map to channels.

Channels are too specific.

Yep I cast into channels 99% of the time.

Though barely go to channel feeds like I used to

That's my point - the Warpcast UX does not push people to channels at all which seems to result in worse engagement across channels.  

I use certain channel feeds for certain topics.  Nearly all of my casts are cast into whatever channel I think is the best fit

Current Warpcast UX hasn’t got me going to channels. How do you use channel feeds ?

It's so hard to navigate through the channel, even for those who have been at FC for a long time. Regarding new users, I've also received a lot of feedback that they don’t know what to read or where to write.
