a few things to look out for to spot these very weird accounts: - repeatedly interacting with @nounishprof and @adrienne re: /gmfarcaster, but in a bizarre way given they're audience members i.e. "come join us, we're streaming!" or awkwardly quoting the hosts/guests - noticeably low-effort quote casts with nothing to add, just paraphrasing the original cast - casts that contradict one another with no regard for time/place e.g. "no food in my fridge at home this morning, darn" and then 4hr later "I'm on vacation in cuba" - food pics with one setting in photo 1 (granite/quartz countertop) and a different one in photo 2 (laminate or wood countertop)

fake isnât the right word, more like authentic vs. inauthentic or organic vs. inorganic engagement. groups of accounts are just replying to one another to boost their metrics.

So whatâshould smaller accounts just sit back and watch while others collect all the rewards without even having a chance to compete? Of course not. Theyâll naturally try to find ways to stay in the game. If the goal is to discourage farming, maybe the better approach is to level the playing fieldâmake everyoneâs engagement carry the same weight, not just those with big followings. Yeah, farming might not be idealâbut in this context, itâs also understandable. And to be fair, the Warpcast team has added rules to keep it from spiraling out of control. https://warpcast.com/v/0xf8f838c6

everyoneâs engagement for the leaderboard is weighted relative to their follower count, so it already does exactly what you just suggested
