TL;DR The Resonant Archive is a living storytelling protocol where every lore node (Tuning Stone) can be forked, remixed, and extended by others. All stories and forks are attested onchain, with creative lineage traceable. To fork, users pay a small fee to the origin creator, incentivizing world-building through contribution. Resonance is earned by how often others build on your story—not by likes. Every two weeks, the community curates the most resonant branches (not stories) through Tuning Rituals, forming an evolving canon. Discovery unfolds via a map interface, and newer voices are lifted through remix chains and credit boosts.

breakdown: Onchain Elements: A. Tuning Stones (Lore Nodes) Each original or forked story is minted or logged onchain as a Lore NFT. • Metadata includes: • Title, content hash, creator • Parent ID (if forked) • Resonance score (mutable or referenceable) • Timestamp • This allows lineage, authorship, and impact to be provable forever. B. Forking Events • Forks are: • New NFTs, or • Attestations anchored to the parent NFT. Depending on gas cost and UX goals, offchain fork data can be stored (e.g., Ceramic, IPFS) and anchored onchain via a low-cost record (e.g., Optimism, Base, Zora network) (this is if we’re planning to make it cross chain) C. Resonance Voting • Votes or reflections are not NFTs, but can be attestations: • Signed interactions that express influence • Useful for retroactive rewards, reputation, or airdrops

Payment Mechanics: How Does Money Flow? Fork-to-Pay (Creator Royalty) When someone forks a story, they pay a small fee to the original story’s creator. we could use any of these options: A. Direct ETH Payment (Simplest) • For each fork: • User signs + sends fork fee (e.g., 0.0005 base ETH) (or $lum) • 80% to parent creator, 20% to treasury/dev fund B. Credit System (Resonance Credits) • Users top-up credits (ERC20 or offchain balance) • Forks or votes cost credits • Creators earn credits when people build on their stories • Credits can be: • Redeemable for ETH/$lum • Used to unlock more features (visual packs, map effects)

How Do We Cut Chaos & Surface the Best Work (But Keep New Voices)? A. Proof of Resonance (Instead of Popularity Metrics) • Value is how many meaningful forks your story creates—not likes. • Forks that also get forked amplify the root. • Quiet gems can bubble up through: • Remix chains • Reflective voting rituals •Lineage visibility B. Tuning Rituals (Collaborative Curation) Every 3 weeks to a month: •Community nominates the most resonant story branch (not just a single story) •To vote: •You stake resonance credits •You must have made a reflection or remix • The “winning branch” becomes part of the Root Archive (canon) C. Echo Boosts • You can boost another user’s fork using your credits • This helps highlight newer creators • Could work like quadratic voting: the more you boost, the more expensive it gets

D. Map-Based Discovery • Rather than a single “top” list, the map interface lets users wander creatively • Resonance clusters emerge visually • Unexplored areas = great zones for newcomers cc: @sophia-indrajaal @naaate any thoughts are welcomed and appreciated

Inspired by this, I tried an initial simple version of the "Echo Map" as a different way to browse: https://echoes-luminary.lovable.app/echomap Could work on it to make it more intuitive and fun to browse, hover, click, expand, scroll, etc.

I'm really liking the idea of Resonance tracking. Gonna sit with this a minute, I tend to get a bit lost with mechanics. This is a very promising approach
