i've tried to use a number of recipe managers/planners/etc a long time ago, but felt the friction is too much when the app doesn't load instantly, and every tap is not snappy, so i always go back to apple notes

The only recipe thing that worked for me was an actual notebook 🤷♀️ I only write down recipes that I've tried multiple times and would love to make again. I feel a bit like a grandma, but it feels good not to rummage in my phone/online to find a recipe. And also it's easier to comprehend cause I write down recipes in my own style, in the order that's easier for me to cook. Bonus points - I put a pretty thematic sticker beside each recipe for ease of search 🌸

I tried out getmeez.com for a client recently and was happy with it. Personally I just feed all my recipes into chat gpt to format into a pdf and then save instantly to Google drive folder. Works better than all other options digitally for me

I swear by Paprika. It’s not necessary fast or slow. I just love the querying, the calendar, the serving size adjustments, and the shopping list
