My 2c on Airdrop-Selling drama:

+ I worked with Merkle on an Airdrop. They didn't impose their criteria on us, they helped us to set *our* critieria.

+ Therefore, I think many people are mistakingly taking Dan's comment as a threat "from Dan" when, in fact, it is his observation of what Airdrop Teams will decide for their self-interest.

+ And I'd say Dan's point is directionally correct – giving airdrops that seem likely to be insta-sold is less appealing to Teams than the opposite.

+ However, selling does *not* have to overwhelm all other criteria. Eg, if someone is a power-user of many apps and tokens like @tricil.eth, this may be more important to a Team than whether he sold a drop or not.

tldr: Dan's point clearly has merit, but Airdrop Criteria is a unique decision made by each Team (not by Merkle!)

i always ask to filter out early sellers

i prefer retention

Makes sense for sure. 

A couple of thoughts. 

Early sellers of any percentage? 
Selling a small bit (maybe <30%) shouldn't be counted as an early seller? Percentage at 30 is just a placeholder.

Sells after X days. How long would holding be holding

What about sellers that rebuy? I sold some $eggs to complete a verification and next week bought 10x 😅

Do you have another marketing strategy apart from air drops?

Then upgrading/buying new chickens means “sell” of eggs? Cause it’s transaction still

Little question are those who sell half early then proceed to hold the rest categorized as early sellers by your standards ?

Crypto data is available publicly OnChain. So everyone can see what ppl do from their accounts with OnChain assets.

But also the merkle team has a lot of data available for teams that want to airdrop to filter through when they decide who to drop to

Provide them future multipliers, incentives for not selling. Everyone is greedy for more $$$
