Religion has been categorized as patriarchal,especially Christianity and Islam. Personally,I’ve witnessed patriarchy disguised as religion a lot of times. I would listen to some sermons about the role of women in the society and for sure,I knew I lost a part of my brain from listening to them. Now,the question is,is religion really patriarchal or it’s being shaped by patriarchal societies? As an African,I can say that our cultures are 90% patriarchal and somehow,religious leaders have managed to imbibe these cultural beliefs into religion. So,tell me,what do you think about religion/faith?

I think a lot of religions are patriarchal but combined with societies like ours? They try to make religion overbearing for women
