I think all founders want to hit Steve Jobs level. Just tell people “shut the fuck i don’t care about your thoughts” with impunity

most founders want the freedom, few can back it with vision that actually delivers.

I like Steve O’Leary answer to what makes jobs special. He said good founders are really good at separating signal to noise. And jobs was an asshole because he always operated on what are the most crucial things to work on for the next 18 hours. Militant at separating signal from noise. 80% work on signal only. The highest he’s ever seen. The only person he’s seen with higher signal to noise is Elon Musk. Who is 100% signal. No noise.

Jobs dumped most feedback but stayed up late in user tests to catch the few ideas that built the Mac. His edge wasn't tuning everyone out, rather finding the voices that made things happen.
