Rewards Algo Update We're also updating the rewards algo this week We're no longer going to count deleted casts, reactions, recasts or replies. This means in some cases, people will see scores go down mid-week. We're also making a few other tweaks. Change will roll out later today. The algo is never going to be perfect, but the goal is to reward high signal top-level content on the network—from anyone!

“We're no longer going to count deleted casts, reactions, recasts or replies.” am i dumb (spoiler: yes) or this means no engagement is counted at all then?

Previously, if you got 100 likes on a cast and then deleted it, it still counted toward the score. Now, if you want it to count toward the score, you can't delete it. (If you don't care about rewards, delete it. You can also delete it after the cycle is over.)

i'm not fully sure if this is how it works on FC like how it does on twitter but post visibility. post something: get 100 likes *delete it* post something else: get another 100 likes on the flip side if you kept the first post up and then posted again in a short timeframe you'd get like 80 likes or something overall
