Lab tour and intro to my million dollar mass spec we use to do cool /science and make next-gen cancer immunotherapy drugs.  

Sorry for the noise, I didn’t mention it but mass specs are under vacuum and use nitrogen gas so there is a ton of ambient noise around them, I usually wear headphones.

Thats crazy, you’re basically a service engineer.

I got lucky and got this one when we were at Sanofi and had $$ when it was first released.  

When we got sold the mass spec went with us for 100k (10% of the cost).

Must be nice to be able to get Bruker equipment within days of its launch.

Be me: purchasing 20+ year old ICPMSs from university auctions and piecing them together to be awarded with needing to pirate windows xp to even interface with them.

The techs are PE for these are either retired or dead.

😂 the thing is busy with samples, been running it nearly nonstop for 3 years, almost done with a massive project
