Don’t do this.

Don't tag a bunch of people you don't know just to farm engagement.

The algo will not be kind to you.

So it seems if we tag  friends / credit artists who aren’t active daily and dont engage with the casts they’re tagged in our engagement will be badly affected. Is there a way around it?

the root cast isn't the whole picture:

it's that tagging people who don't know you means they're more likely to report you as spam , it's not the algo itself checking if you follow the people you tag or they follow you

TLDR; don't be spammy and you won't be reported as spam
