If we were to work on channels as a developer lego, what should we improve? Decentralizing existing primitive doesn’t drive network growth. So would have to offer something new / compelling.

1/ If channels are the ultimate communities playground, then add a mix of Web3/traditional community-related features, eg gating comes to mind based on activity or paid (earned vs paid analogy). 2/ Spaces-like audio events. It's time, no?

1. We had a vertically integrated paid channel. Minimal use. 2. Tavern, FarHouse, Aburra are all audio clients that work well enough launching from Warpcast. It would be a nice UX improvement. Challenge is neither drive user growth.

Wait what channel was this? Asking cuz I wonder if this was a very old experiment (i.e. long back)... in which case you might have a totally different result now I guarantee many folks will use it now As far as network growth, will it have an immediate impact? No but it will impact retention cuz ppl are gonna appreciate being able to monetize, and they will. And in the medium+ term, word will get around that you can monetize channels and creators will come for that opportunity Hope that makes sense :)
