Listening to Lex's interview with Pieter Levels reminds me of the early days of the App Store. Some devs made a lot of money shipping a bunch of toy apps in the early days and charging for them. He's basically doing the same just with stable diffusion and other AI models and using Stripe for payments instead of Apple.

Do you think the same thing is happening with Farcaster, or do we need many more real DAU?

We need many more DAUs. LLM stuff is trendy and can go viral, especially with his now large following on X

What stood out to me was how he emphasized the importance of adding a simple Stripe button. It reminded me of FC channels and how the channel pass had a very good conversion rate. I don't expect the same to be true with Hypersub since you have to go outside of FC/WC to subscribe

We do have Hypersub frames (see quoted cast), and a channel can pin a frame at the top of their main feed, but still not convinced that's good enough https://warpcast.com/mxjxn.eth/0x05f0fa03

+1 been asking @dwr for a first-party integration for many months. old channel pass front-end, onchain hypersub backend. best of both worlds. unfortunately not a priority :(

we do :) still doesn't address the primary concern: pinned cast with frame, link in channel description, etc. are inferior hacks compared to a first-party ux, and as such will not feel as polished or convert as well
