That's how things used to be and it was exploited constantly for nefarious things, so they added click to connect 😄

Most of the old apps I made back in the 2017-2019 era are broken now because they assume connect on page load and I've been too lazy to go back and fix them.

iirc the "connect wallet" is a necessary step for the privacy preservation

however, yeah, most users don't care about privacy and hence won't care

they would enjoy instant connection

Many people will come to web 3.0 for this

I think he knows this already and is just farming engagement with his UX instincts
