Does anyone use a Remarkable or e-ink equivalent on a regular basis?

Was on the fence about it at first but  the Amazon 1 day shipping + home pick up 30 day return made it a “risk free” test and I ended up keeping it. Bought in Nov-ish and used daily-ish since then!

Kindle Scribe (h/t @0xstark.eth) has been really good! Perfect for notetaking + PDFs and decent for day reading as a kindle, although bulky for bedside reading.

I use remarkable 2 almost daily for academic research

got it on christmas

so far: look is great - not super smooth responsiveness - syncing is fine - u need to pay for cloud support

file support lacking

I had a Boox (Chinese remarkable cousin) for a while but the writing recognition wasn’t up to par.

Currently happy with a Kobo ereader and a vintage Microsoft folding Bluetooth keyboard for distraction free longform writing

It’s fantastic. Folds down to the size of a small ereader.

I’ve played around with a lot of writing focus solutions (including the alpha smart Neo 2) for the Microsoft keyboard is best

I don't super understand the question, but if you're asking what they use them for, they're on the move a lot and I think it's perhaps sometimes easier for them to jot something down physically. Somebody verbally requesting off, food orders, food count, liquor orders. Sometimes easier to consolidate later.

My handwriting is unreadable to even myself so I’ve never been able to justify it. I know a couple restaurant owners that swear by them though.

I use my remarkable daily to read papers, textbooks and blog posts. Highlights and annotations sync so I can then expand on those on another app.

Please don’t make me start thinking about this again. Backlit Remarkable 3  or bust (without taking away ssh access)

I have the ReMarkable 2 but it is currently mothballed in favor of...an MD notebook 😅

I wanted to buy a remarkable, but lack of password and encryption was a big nono

I didn't know there was such a thing, to be honest. I use Kindle Oasis with jailbreak (custom reader and cli included), but you definitely can't write or draw (not very comfortably, at least, although the technical capability should exist since it has a touchscreen)
