"output per hours" is a nonsense measurement without further explanation. It seems there are better measures that tell a different story https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/2023/10/04/productivity-has-grown-faster-in-western-europe-than-in-america https://www.reddit.com/r/europe/comments/1bbzc6a/comment/kuci0qa/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Sorry for the weird language. The bottom line, which you will not find as root cause in any graph or statistic, is over-regulation. Ideas come to Europe, only to die. Nobody in their right mind tries to build anything in e.g. Germany because of all the bureaucratic obstacles. Also, especially Germany has the highest electricity prices. Building new energy heavy businesses or industries is impossible because nobody can afford it. We go so far in Germany that we banned all nuclear energy within the nation, but have to purchase nuclear energy from France at times when the German electricity grid is not able to generate enough power. It's over. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trYO5KtLq0Q
