my only aim in life is peace for myself that means accepting things around me as they are that does not mean i dont help people, take care of my parents, put food in front of my kid etc. - but i do all that because they all give me peace

the thing about this is that your peace is subject to impact based on the downstream effects of the state of the world your life is interconnected with everything in ways that can be hard to imagine

I'm 1000% in the acceptance camp actually. Just not by itself. You do your absolute best and THEN accept where the chips fall. You need the yin and the yang.
