Does the "Pro" badge truly reflect professional users, considering that a significant portion of holders are spam Level 0 accounts?

This label contradicts the actual data, which includes over 11k users If the goal is only to show financial support for Farcaster, it would be better to choose a different title for it.

I paid for Twitter badge, prior to Elon soley for ability to post 10 minute videos.     

I’m 1000% not spam,  & it’s too difficult for me to even consider paying for something on app that created its own spam problem, by constantly leaning on incentives.

Also, I paid for multiple channels, & so much changed since that made those purchases pointless. 

Ultimately,  it doesn’t matter what I think here.   Anyone outside of builder / trading culture that doesn’t want to exposed to it can’t avoid it & even if they could.   Openrank algo creates a reality where not interacting with those type of an accounts and them not interacting with you basically treats you like a spam account anyway.  

It’s still a fascinating observation being a power user in web3 “social apps”.      This is the only place where the bulk of communication happening on the apps, is centered around talking about the apps.        In summery, it’s hard to justify paying for something that can’t scale meaningfully 🫂

I hope my feedback comes off as constructive @sahil I was privately degening since 2020, bridging between Fantom, Bsc, Avax, Mainnet, Genesis 1/1 minted on rarible Feb 2021, 145 1/1’s on catalog works,  60 + on foundation,  so much on zora, collected thousands..      Just context that I’m just a random user, adverse to what’s being built.   

If the end goal isn’t to scale to users outside of our ecosystem & retain them, then FC is a success as is being hub less cluttered than Twitter for tech enthusiasts.      But outside of this circle and apparently this circles mini circles,   Normal users don’t care & don’t like “big tech”      I personally got into this all cus legacy ruined the internet w/ algos.     Building a new audience anywhere w/ forced feed curation already feels pointless,  add those algos favoring discussing the app being used.     Hard for me to understand something so intuitively not scalable as a user experience to non tech people being quadrupled down on.   🫂

Appreciate the response, It’s hard to fit context in type form but I’m already aware of the info you shared.        When I present feedback on FC, I’m always approaching from the lens of a user experience of someone that not only isn’t blockchain or tech savvy but is turned off by it, but wants an alternative to legacy social.    

It’s hard trying to convey this stuff,   But any game studio, artists, musicians mentioning crypto or ai, get pitchforks & shunned.    It’s a hard stigma to downplay in terms of realistic growth,  yet fc & zora do not seem to understand how users outside of this bubble feel about being forced fed content they didn’t follow themselves.      This is where the channels doesn’t work & the open rank statement comes in,   The users with the most reach here are talking about stuff not ideal for social,  it’s mostly people in this space talking about this app and this space,  which doesn’t appeal but repels.     There’s not enough non tech people to try & start over

just to clarify, openrank scores only reflect if other people in the network are actively engaging with your content. it does make it slightly difficult for anyone to bootstrap reputation/scores, but that's like any other app.
i really think that channels are a great way to avoid this - you can be a part of a community where you share interests, you can particiapte, and  each of these channels should have their own ranking/spam system. 

global rankings usually make it difficult for new users to be discovered.
