perhaps he's a face tattoo artist joking aside, "learn to code" carried "earn a lot of money easily" with it and i think many jumped on that that's going away, but understanding how to code works is still as important as ever. maybe even more

Agreed. making your brain do something hard (aka "learning") whether it's code or anything else, hasn't changed - you end up with a new capacity...in fact, I don't think certain thoughts are even possible if you can't get your brain thinking is hard-won ways, analogous to lifting weights. This "don't learn X" sentiment is massively destruvtibe.
