What should we do to improve direct casts for you?

Looking for specific requests—and please like the requests from others that you most agree with.

Assume the following will happen at some point (so no need to add):
- Search
- Composer Actions for DCs
- Increase token-gating options
- Better / more APIs

i think reliability in general:
- messages show up randomly - sometimes have to refresh (f5 browser, kill wc on iphone) multiple times for them to show
- notifications don't show when new message arrives, or they show and there's nothing new (but maybe just the above issue)

this doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to think twice before using DCs vs anything else.
