Will take a read, though this post is from 8 years ago. The UBI experiments done since then are what's changed my mind, inc the ORUS studies:

"the transfer caused total individual income excluding the transfers to fall by about $2,000/year relative to the control group and a 3.9 percentage point decrease in labor market participation"

I want to believe too. I find these studies so distressing 😂

I’ve also read contradicting studies as pointed out by @ruz

This recent study is unsettling in any case.  I’ll bookmark this and try to read through the meat of the study soon.
