Intuitively, I really want to believe in UBI but study after study shows it just doesn't work. New one on families that got $1k / mo showed zero improvement in educational outcomes, school attendance, food security, or parental satisfaction.

Strange most UBI studies I’ve seen showed positive effects? https://x.com/scottsantens/status/1040683616488103936?s=46&t=m1Jlf0dojyC4eiPyQZXD5g

Will take a read, though this post is from 8 years ago. The UBI experiments done since then are what's changed my mind, inc the ORUS studies: "the transfer caused total individual income excluding the transfers to fall by about $2,000/year relative to the control group and a 3.9 percentage point decrease in labor market participation" https://www.nber.org/papers/w32719
