so I'm launching an NFT launchpad why: the current NFT model sucks 1. no one wants to mint smaller collections bc 99% of the time they are “stuck” with it and cannot sell 2. no long-term building incentive bc secondary fee is nonexistent 3. hard to get attention from users who are used to instant dopamine hit from memecoins I'm solving all 3. think of it like Pokémon packs/Lububu blind box Buy a pack, open it for a random rarity card, or keep it sealed sell back to the contract instantly (diff rarity = diff amount) creators earn fees on buy & sell forever oh and randomness & rarities are all onchain and open so community can vibe code anything on top of the booster box contracts. just concluded closed alpha, & feedback has been phenomenal exciting huh? 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ if this sounds like your thing just reply i'll give more people private alpha invite code soon

One meta belief I have, is that I think "on the face pursuing idealistic objective A, but actually being tilted toward selfish objective B" is better than "openly pursuing objective B". Many seem to believe the opposite, typically saying something like "at least the latter is honest". I feel like what this misses, is that maintaining the face of pursuing idealistic objective A, and using A to coordinate a large coalition, is a pretty big speed bump against attempts to pursue B too brazenly. When "the mask comes off", things actually become much worse, and strategies that pursue B at high costs to other values (including A, and also often general human decency) become unlocked. Are there any good arguments against this intuition I have? (Whether generalized, or about specific situations)
